Acids have a positive and negative effect on digestion. Hydrochloric
acid begins the digestive process, stimulating the pancreas and the
liver to produce key digestive enzymes. Other acids, called gastric
juices, are needed to change food into small molecules that can be
absorbed by the body`s cells.

Appetite
A desire for, or relish of, food or drink; the hypothalamus part of the
brain normally registers feelings of hunger and satiety. Illness can
sometimes lessen the desire to eat resulting in weight loss and
lethargy.

digest. There are two kinds of dietary fibre, soluble and insoluble.

Poor Digestion
Generally occurs when we have too much of one or the other, or too many
refined or simple carbohydrates (i.e. white rice, pasta, bread,
biscuits, or sugar)…or if the fat is too saturated…or too much dairy,
red meat, wine or coffee…or not enough fibre, exercise, water and rest.
